The Soulard Restoration Group and Soulard Business Association kicked off the Soulard Holiday Parlour tour with the Tree Lighting on Friday, December 5 at the Soulard Market Plaza at 8th and Lafayette .  Soulard families enjoyed the lighting of the tree, by Miss Soulard Oktoberfest, Kaileigh Meyer, and the arrival of Santa Claus by horse-drawn carriage.  Children got pictures with Santa, as we listened to carols performed by Fox High School Band, and enjoyed hot chocolate, coffee, and popcorn!   The Dancing Christmas Trees (local artists and residents) were uniquely decorated as they danced and skipped to the holiday music.  Although it was cold, the residents of Soulard enjoyed this annual event.  Pictures were taken by Jeremy Alms for InCityNews and can be seen and downloaded for free from InCityNews.Com and also on www.soulard.org.
